Asus Touchpad Driver Windows 10 Update

Post by Maddy1991 »

I recently updated my laptop to Windows 10 and since then, the touchpad seems to be malfunctioning. It is not responding properly and the gestures are not working either. I suspect that I need to update the touchpad driver. I have searched on the Asus official website as well as on various driver update websites, but I haven't been able to find a suitable driver for my touchpad. Can someone please provide me with a direct download link for the Asus touchpad driver for Windows 10? I would greatly appreciate any help. Thank you in advance!

Troubleshooting Questions and Answers:
1. Q: After installing the Asus Touchpad Driver update, my touchpad is not responding. What should I do?
A: Firstly, try restarting your device as it may resolve any temporary software glitches. If the issue persists, go to Device Manager, locate the touchpad under "Mice and other pointing devices," right-click and select "Uninstall device." Restart your device again, and upon boot, Windows will automatically reinstall the touchpad driver. If the problem still persists, visit the official Asus support website and download the driver manually, ensuring it matches your device model.

2. Q: I updated the Asus Touchpad Driver, but now I'm experiencing erratic cursor movements. How can I fix this?
A: Erratic cursor movements can be caused by incorrect touchpad settings. Go to "Settings" or "Control Panel" and locate the touchpad settings. Make sure the cursor sensitivity is set to an appropriate level. Additionally, check if there is an option for palm rejection or palm sensitivity and adjust it accordingly. If the issue persists, try reinstalling the touchpad driver by following the steps described in the previous answer.

3. Q: I recently installed the Asus Touchpad Driver update, but now the gestures like two-finger scrolling are not working. How can I enable them?
A: Firstly, ensure that the touchpad driver is installed correctly and up to date. Then, go to your device's settings or control panel, search for touchpad settings, and locate the options for gesture controls. Enable "Scrolling" or "Two-finger scrolling" if they are available. In some cases, you might need to adjust the sensitivity or other advanced settings to make the gestures work properly. If the gestures are still not functioning, try reinstalling the touchpad driver as described in the first answer.
