Acer Touchpad Driver Download Windows 8.1

Post by Stella »

I recently upgraded my laptop to Windows 8.1 and noticed that the touchpad is not working properly. I suspect that I might need to update the touchpad driver. However, I have searched on the Acer website and various driver download websites, but I couldn't find a specific driver for my touchpad model. Can anyone please provide me with a direct link to download the Acer touchpad driver for Windows 8.1? I would greatly appreciate any assistance. Thank you!

Troubleshooting Questions and Answers:
1. Q: Why is my Acer touchpad not responding to touch inputs?
A: Make sure the touchpad is enabled by pressing the designated Function (Fn) key and the corresponding touchpad activation key on your Acer laptop's keyboard. If that doesn't work, try reinstalling the touchpad driver by downloading it from the official Acer website.

2. Q: The touchpad gestures on my Acer device are not working. What should I do?
A: First, check if the touchpad gestures are enabled in the touchpad settings. You can access this by going to the Control Panel, opening the Mouse settings, and navigating to the Touchpad tab. If the gestures are enabled but still not functioning, try updating the touchpad driver to the latest version available on the Acer website.

3. Q: Whenever I use the touchpad, the cursor on the screen freezes intermittently. How can I resolve this issue?
A: This issue could be caused by an outdated or corrupted touchpad driver. To fix it, uninstall the current touchpad driver from the Device Manager and restart your Acer laptop. Upon the restart, Windows will automatically reinstall the touchpad driver. If the problem persists, consider updating the driver manually by downloading the latest version compatible with your Windows 8.1 operating system from the Acer website.
