Lenovo Yoga Touchpad Driver Windows 8.1

Post by Maggy91 »

Hi everyone,

I recently upgraded my Lenovo Yoga laptop to Windows 8.1 and everything seems to be working fine except for my touchpad. It's not functioning properly and I suspect it might be due to a missing or outdated driver. I've spent quite some time searching on Lenovo's official website as well as other driver download websites, but unfortunately, I couldn't find the specific driver I need.

Could someone please provide me with a direct link to download the touchpad driver for Lenovo Yoga on Windows 8.1? I would greatly appreciate any help or guidance in resolving this issue.

Thank you in advance!

Troubleshooting questions and answers:
Q1: Why is my touchpad not working on my Lenovo Yoga running Windows 8.1?
A1: There could be multiple reasons for this issue. Firstly, ensure that the touchpad is not disabled. You can enable it by pressing the Fn key and the touchpad function key combination (usually F6). Secondly, check if the touchpad driver is installed and up to date. If not, visit the Lenovo support website and download the compatible touchpad driver for Windows 8.1.

Q2: My Lenovo Yoga touchpad is erratic and unresponsive. What should I do?
A2: To address this issue, try adjusting the touchpad sensitivity through the Windows settings. Open the Control Panel, go to Mouse settings, and navigate to the Touchpad tab. Here, you can modify the sensitivity to a level that suits your preference. Additionally, make sure there are no physical obstructions or debris on the touchpad surface, as this can also cause erratic behavior.

Q3: The touchpad gestures are not working on my Lenovo Yoga with Windows 8.1. How can I fix this?
A3: Firstly, ensure that the touchpad driver is installed correctly and up to date. You can download the latest driver from the Lenovo support website. After installation, restart the device and check if the touchpad gestures are functioning. In case they still don't work, verify if the appropriate touchpad gestures are enabled in the Windows settings. Open the Control Panel, go to Mouse settings, and navigate to the Touchpad tab to enable the desired gestures.
