Synaptics Touchpad Driver Windows 10 Lenovo Ideapad S145

Post by Cathy1987 »

I recently upgraded my Lenovo Ideapad S145 to Windows 10 and realized that my Synaptics touchpad is not working properly. It seems that I need to update the driver for it to function correctly on this new operating system. I have tried searching on Lenovo's official website and their support page, as well as on the Synaptics website, but I couldn't find a driver specifically for Windows 10. Could someone please provide me with a direct download link to the Synaptics touchpad driver for Windows 10 compatible with Lenovo Ideapad S145? Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Troubleshooting Questions and Answers:

Q1: Why is my touchpad not responding?
A1: There could be several reasons for this issue. Firstly, make sure the touchpad is not disabled. You can enable it by pressing the appropriate function key or using the touchpad settings in the Windows Control Panel. If that doesn't work, try restarting the computer and check for any pending Windows updates. If the problem persists, reinstalling the Synaptics touchpad driver from the official Lenovo website might resolve the issue.

Q2: The touchpad cursor on my Lenovo Ideapad S145 is moving erratically. What can I do?
A2: Erratic touchpad cursor movement can occur due to sensitivity settings or driver conflicts. Open the touchpad settings in the Windows Control Panel and adjust the cursor sensitivity to your preference. Additionally, ensure that there are no external devices interfering with the touchpad, such as wireless mice or other pointing devices. If the problem continues, reinstalling the Synaptics touchpad driver can help resolve any potential conflicts.
