Synaptics Touchpad Driver Windows 10 Lenovo Thinkpad

Post by Monty1992 »

I recently upgraded my Lenovo Thinkpad to Windows 10 and my Synaptics touchpad driver seems to be missing or outdated. I've searched extensively on Lenovo's support page, as well as on the Synaptics website, but I couldn't find the correct driver for my device. Could someone please provide me with a direct link to download the Synaptics touchpad driver for Windows 10 on a Lenovo Thinkpad? Thank you in advance for your help!

Troubleshooting Questions and Answers:

1. Problem: My touchpad is not responding. What can I do?
Answer: First, ensure that the touchpad is enabled by pressing the designated function key (usually Fn+F8). If it is still unresponsive, try reinstalling the Synaptics Touchpad Driver from Lenovo's official support website. If the issue persists, consider contacting Lenovo customer support for further assistance.

2. Problem: The touchpad cursor is erratic and jumps around randomly. How can I fix this?
Answer: This issue can be caused by sensitivity settings or certain gestures. To resolve it, open the Synaptics Control Panel (usually found in the Control Panel or search for it in the Start menu) and adjust the sensitivity settings. Additionally, you can experiment with disabling gestures like pinch-zoom or swipe gestures to see if they are causing the erratic behavior.
