Touch Screen Driver Windows 10 Lenovo

Post by Jamie1991 »

I recently upgraded my Lenovo laptop to Windows 10 and noticed that the touch screen functionality stopped working. I suspect it might be due to a missing or outdated touch screen driver. I've searched extensively on the official Lenovo website, as well as other driver download websites, but haven't been able to find a compatible driver for Windows 10. Could someone please provide me with a direct download link for the touch screen driver compatible with Windows 10 for my Lenovo device? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Troubleshooting Questions and Answers:

Q1: Why is the touch screen not responding to touch inputs?
A1: One possible reason could be a malfunctioning touch screen driver. Updating or reinstalling the touch screen driver can help resolve the issue. Additionally, checking for any physical damage on the screen or ensuring that the touch screen is enabled in the device's settings can also be helpful in troubleshooting the problem.

Q2: How can I calibrate the touch screen on my Lenovo device?
A2: To calibrate the touch screen on a Lenovo device, follow these steps:
1. Open the "Control Panel" in Windows 10.
2. In the search bar, type "calibrate," and then select "Calibrate the screen for pen or touch input."
3. Click "Calibrate" and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the calibration process.
4. Restart the device and check if the touch screen is now properly calibrated.

Q3: The touch screen on my Lenovo device is registering inaccurate inputs. What can be done to fix this issue?
A3: Inaccurate touch inputs could be due to a misalignment between the touch sensors and the display. To fix this problem:
1. Turn off the device completely.
2. Clean the touch screen using a lint-free cloth to remove any dirt or residue.
3. Gently press and hold the power button for around 15 seconds to discharge any remaining power.
4. Power on the device and check if the touch screen now registers accurate inputs. If not, try updating the touch screen driver and recalibrating the touch screen as mentioned above.
